Diamond Products recently carried out an extensive core drilling training course with Road Lab, a leading national concrete laboratory company. The training covered a theoretical section which highlighted safety, maintenance, applications and operating procedures.

The theoretical training was followed up by practical training, which covered daily equipment maintenance, correct anchoring, drilling and core removal. The practical training was done using Shibuya core drilling machines, which carry the SABS and CE certification for use of electrical equipment with water.

On completion of the training all staff members were issued with a core drilling risk assessment as well as competency certificates.
