ARIX Core Bit Segments praised by Q&A Coring

Innovative concrete coring, sawing and scanning expert, Q&A Coring has praised the new ARIX core bit segments. Q&A recently used the ARIX segments at the newly built Houghton luxury apartments in Johannesburg. The project was split into two phases, with phase one starting in early 2012 and consisting of surgical and general demolitions.  Around 500 cores were drilled in phase one, where an estimated total of 100 tonnes of material was cut and removed.

Phase two consisted of another estimated 500 cores being drilled, while 540m of chasing was cut into the slabs for plumbing. Q&A Coring managing director Henry Dippenaar believes the ARIX coring technology to be far superior to any other system on the market, and has found the segments to be extremely reliable, with increased cutting speeds and longer life span. “The turnaround time for re-tipping is also very good and Diamond products after sales service is second to none.”
