Arix Technology Takes on Massive Silo’s Project

Specialist coring and cutting provider Diamond Coring, has been around since 1996 and has worked on a number of high profile jobs throughout South Africa including the likes of the Gautrain Project, Soccer City and FNB Head Office. The company is currently involved in a project in the Johannesburg CBD, where ten abandoned silos are being converted into student accommodation.

Diamond Coring director, Marc Vlok notes that ARIX is one of the few brands in the local market capable of carrying out this highly challenging work. “In total, we will drill around 6 000 cores through ten 10-storey silos, removing a total of approximately 4 500m of concrete. This is extremely challenging work, and the quality of ARIX, together with the excellent support and service offered by Diamond Products, has helped to ensure that the project has run smoothly to date.”
