Diamond Products Assists Fedglass in Completing Major Project

Expert glass and stainless steel contractor Fedglass has successfully completed a number of high-profile projects using specialised tools supplied by Diamond Products – a leading specialist in the manufacture, assembly and sale of diamond tools and equipment.

Johannesburg-based Fedglass boasts 30 years of experience in services ranging from balustrading and painted glass splashbacks, to sandblast vinyl, designer glass and polished aluminium furniture. Fedglass owner Jurgen Ewert notes that the company successfully completed balustrading at the VIP entrance stairs at FNB Stadium in Soweto, using Laserpro core drills supplied by Diamond Products.

“This is one of the largest projects that Fedglass has completed, and involved the installation of approximately 150 m of side-mounted balustrade with toughened safety glass along the five floors of the VIP entrance stairs. In order to complete this task, we made use of 24 mm Laserpro core drills supplied by Diamond Products,” he explains.
Despite challenging time constraints, Ewert points out that Fedglass was able to complete the project within budget and on deadline. “Our industry leading experience and expertise, combined with the high quality product and service offering from Diamond Products, ensured that no major delays were encountered during this project.”

Ewert highlights the fact that Fedglass has also completed balustrading projects for a number of vehicle showrooms during the course of 2013, using Laserpro core drills. “Showroom projects generally require more than 100 m of balustrading, which we are able to swiftly and efficiently install with the Diamond Products range of 16 mm Laserpro core drills,” he continues.
