Diamond Product launches Xtra Shine polishing wheel

Due to the ongoing price increases of cerium oxide powder, Diamond Products has introduced the Extra Shine slurryless polishing wheel to the South African market.

Extra Shine Wheels are made up of a unique composition of various compounds and agents that produce polish qualities comparable to felt and other polishing materials. It is designed to be used without traditional cerium slurries, under low pressure and with the use of tap water only. As an alternative to conventional cerium shining wheels for straight line polishing machines, the Extra Shine Wheel has many added benefits.

Performance

The wheel is designed to be used with a lower pressure and an amp draw less than rubber bond and felt wheels. The wheel is not only more stable but also more economical to run. The Extra Shine Wheel is supplied with a plastic backing plate to minimise flexing that takes place with original cerium wheels.

It provides a mirror finish and does not need a long break-in period. Cost savings on waste disposal is also realised, thanks to traditional cerium slurry not being needed. The Wheel comes fitted with a plastic hub and central 70mm hole, and comes trued and balanced ready for use.
