From humble beginnings as a one-man operation in 2001, Johannesburg-based DMS Plumbing today has a staff complement of 15 employees that specialise in residential and commercial projects. DMS Plumbing owner Darren Smithson highlights the fact that Diamond Products has proven itself to be a tried and trusted supplier to the company over the past six years.
“The after-sales and technical service offered by Diamond Products goes above and beyond any other supplier that I have dealt with in the past. This, combined with exceptionally high quality and reliable equipment, makes Diamond Products a valued business partner to DMS Plumbing,” he says.
DMS Plumbing’s continued success in recent years has seen the company being appointed to install floor drains at a number of Cape Town Fish Market franchise restaurants in South Africa. For this project, Smithson reveals that the company is making use of the Shibuya range of core drilling machines, which are distributed exclusively in Southern Africa by Diamond Products.
“We recently completed drainage at a Cape Town Fish Market store located at Hemingway Mall in East London. This was a highly challenging task that involved the drilling of 38 200 mm holes to install the floor drains. The Shibuya range proved to be highly effective, and Diamond Products representatives were in constant contact with us to offer any additional assistance,” he continues.
Diamond Products director Darryl Gray adds that the Shibuya range comes in two relevant diameter models, namely; 12 mm to 60 mm and 60 mm to 120 mm. “The Shibuya core drill is lightweight and easy to handle. It is also highly-durable and robust, making it ideally suited to other applications, including; balustrading, air conditioning and anchor drilling too.”
Looking to the future, Smithson is confident of long term growth. “DMS Plumbing offers its customers transparent pricing, together with a strong work ethic and a quality guarantee. With a reliable and trustworthy supplier such as Diamond Products, I believe that there is unlimited potential for growth and expansion,” he concludes.
