Ceramic Diamond Pads save shopping centre floor

A large shopping centre, based in Gauteng, was faced with a deteriorating polished concrete floor. The floor had lost a significant amount of its gloss and had become patchy due to high traffic and UV exposure.

A professional flooring contractor was awarded the project to grind, polish and restore the gloss and re-seal the floor. Due to the very high specifications required by the shopping centre owners, the contractor had no hesitation in using ceramic diamond pads fitted to the Blastrac BMG-555 single phase floor grinder. 

Ceramic pads offer excellent life but most importantly deliver a completely scratch free surface and therefore a significantly higher gloss level can be achieved.When a high gloss polished concrete floor is required, Ceramic pads deliver the absolute best result. 

Floor Chemicals

Diamond Products offers its FloorPro range of concrete sealers, densifiers and hole fillers. 

Grind N Grout is a synthetic rubber latex mixture designed for filling pin holes and small cracks. Its applied in a liquid form while grinding.

Densifier (Concrete hardener). This is a penetrating sodium silicate liquid that reacts with the concrete to increase the concrete hardness. It makes the floor dust proof and wear resistant.

Hydro Buff penetrating concrete sealer is a buffable sealer that is UV stable, will not yellow and provides excellent protection against staining and is oil resistant. It is easy to clean and maintain using a Suprashine Diamond pad.
