Shot Blaster
- Diamond Products represents Blastrac in Southern Africa. Blastrac is a global leader in the manufacturing and distribution of specialized floor preparation tools and equipment. They manufacture a wide range of vertical and horizontal shot blasters for various applications.
- The closed circuit shot blasting machines throw a large amount of shot at the surface by centrifugal force at the surface. After he shot has hit and removed the surface, the shot and contaminants are filtered / recycled back through the system. The dust is then extracted by a vacuum which is attached to the shot blaster, making the process virtually dust free.
- Blasting with steel shot is the most environmentally friendly abrasive blasting method there is, as there are no chemicals or water used during the process.
WHERE CAN SHOT BLASTING BE USED?
- To clean and prepare surfaces - such as steel, concrete and asphalt
- To remove top layers – like paint and epoxy
- To remove markings and rubber – from highways, runways, industrial floors and runways
- To improve skid resistance – on surfaces such as sidewalks, bike paths, roads and runways
