Ultimo Seal Discovers Advantages of Arix Technology

Leading core drilling and concrete repair specialist Ultimo Seal has achieved great results when using Diamond Products ARIX core segments to re-tip their existing barrels. The ARIX core segments have recently been used on a number of Ultimo Seals’ high profile jobs, including Standard Bank Alice Lane and Rosebank Mall, where large amounts of core drilling took place. Ultimo Seal realised a substantial cost saving when using these ARIX segments, and also reported that the segments were extremely reliable and efficient.

With ARIX, diamonds are aligned in an almost grid-like system, thereby allowing for consistent drilling speeds. In industry-standard tools, the diamonds are mixed randomly throughout the surface – which results in significant wear-and-tear, owing to the fact that different areas of the surface end up carrying inconsistent workloads.
